We have used our experience of exhibition design and the subtle integration of digital systems into displays to ensure that the ColliderCase intervention is completely stealthy.
To all intents, the system is invisible to the user, and a ColliderCase-enabled showcase is indistinguishable from a normal showcase, other than the magical inclusion of virtual content hanging in the space around the object.
Of course, now that the content is inside the case, there is no need for external object interpretation such as graphic panels and LCD screens. We are excited to see what architects and interpretation designers will do with the ColliderCase system, and the potential for de-cluttering environments.
Volumetric Design
Please see the table of standard sizes here. The table shows how the suggested object size relates to the virtual plane size, and consequently to the showcase outer dimensions.
If you require a display with dimensions outside of the standard range, please get in contact to discuss this further. We will always be able to find a way to give you what you need. In theory, there is no maximum or minimum size.
Gallery Conditions
ColliderCase does not require any unusual gallery conditions except the architect or designer must consider the illumination of gallery wall surfaces. Please get in contact to find out more.
Case Size Options
Please see the table of standard sizes here. The table shows how the suggested object size relates to the virtual plane size, and consequently to the outer dimensions of the showcase.
The Suggested Object or Collection Outer Dimensions are provided to give you at least some way to begin to determine the right size of case for your object display. The dimensions we state are an imaginary three-dimensional bounding box of the object or cluster of objects. If you have any queries whatsoever, please get in touch as we can advise on individual circumstances, and help to engineer the case display for best appearance, performance and value.
Case Access
If your situation requires a front-loading showcase, and side-loading is not possible, then we can make that work.
Side-loading is slightly easier. If you are integrating ColliderCase into a new space or build, then side-loading is the preferred option, but front-loading is still completely viable.
Case Lighting
Any internal case lighting scheme will be compatible with control and operation of ColliderCase. We can provide DMX control of internal lighting.
ColliderCase will usually rely on internal case lighting, but if you have an application where it is imperative that the case is lit externally, please get in contact, and we will help you ascertain a suitable lighting scheme.
